Job Description:
- We are seeking a reliable Dock Contractor to support daily receiving, material handling, and MRO package processing activities at a manufacturing facility.
- This role focuses on unloading, unpacking, verifying, and prepping incoming materials especially MRO items to ensure smooth flow into inspection, stock room, and production areas.
- This is a fast paced dock environment requiring strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and consistent productivity.
Receiving & Unpacking
- Unpack, verify, and stage incoming MRO packages for processing and inspection.
- Check incoming materials against packing lists and required documentation.
- Identify damage, shortages, or incorrect paperwork and report issues immediately.
- Apply or match receiving labels and route material to the correct next step.
- Move materials between dock, receiving inspection, and the stock room.
- Consolidate and deliver certifications, inspection paperwork, or tags as needed.
- Support preparation of MRO items for work order creation or internal routing.
- Assist with RTV/RMA material returns when directed.
- Support staging outbound shipments.
- Maintain dock cleanliness and organization using 5S standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of experience in warehouse/dock/receiving environments.
- Ability to lift 35–50 lbs and stand/walk for the majority of the shift.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or aerospace.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP experience a plus).
- Experience in MRO, inventory control, or receiving inspection support.
- Highly dependable, organized, and detail oriented.
- Comfortable working with variable and high daily receiving volumes.
- Strong communicator who collaborates well with stock room, inspection, and dock teams.
- Supports a clean, safe, and efficient work environment through 5S and continuous improvement.
