Salary Range: CAD $80K-$85K/Month
Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced Performance Engineer with 7 years of expertise in benchmarking, systems performance analysis, and performance optimization across enterprise and datacenter environments.
- The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in server and platform performance testing, root cause analysis, automation, and performance tuning across Windows and Linux systems.
- Develop and execute performance benchmarks and validation tests for server and platform components
- Analyze system performance data to identify bottlenecks related to CPU, memory, NUMA, cache, storage, and networking
- Design and maintain repeatable benchmarking methodologies and regression test suites
- Automate performance testing, monitoring, and data collection using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to interpret benchmark results and provide optimization recommendations
- Monitor telemetry and performance metrics using tools such as Kusto, Grafana, and related analytics platforms
- Perform performance tuning and diagnostics across Windows and Linux environments
- Prepare clear documentation and present performance findings to technical and leadership teams
- Stay updated on modern server architectures, including Client and AMD platforms
- Independently manage multiple tasks and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- 7 years of experience in performance engineering, benchmarking, or systems performance analysis
- Strong hands-on experience with server and platform performance testing in enterprise or datacenter environments
- Deep understanding of industry-standard benchmarking tools such as SPEC, Client Memory Latency Checker (MLC), STREAM, and similar CPU, memory, and storage performance tools
- Expertise in analyzing CPU, memory, NUMA, cache, storage, and network bottlenecks
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux performance tuning and diagnostics
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience creating repeatable benchmarking methodologies and regression test frameworks
- Familiarity with modern Client and AMD server architectures
- Experience with telemetry, monitoring, and large-scale data analysis tools such as Kusto and Grafana
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
