Rate: $18.50/Hr
Job Description:
- Sets up equipment, prepares compounds and processes a variety of assemblies, such as standard connectors and special connectors following written and verbal instructions.
- Setup equipment to meet product standards for identification, shell painting, retainer loading, contact painting, wire cutting, riveting, contact crimping and contact hooding.
- Weigh, mix and identify items such as inks, paints, adhesives, molding compounds and potting materials. ? Able to interface with customers if necessary.
- Follow intermediate drawings and procedures.
- Perform connector assemblies.
- Perform work with limited to no supervision.
- Train and assist Assembler 1s.
- Manually load and/or machine load retainers into molded plastic inserts per work order instructions.
- Bond loaded front inserts to molded plastic rear inserts per work order instructions.
- Bond interface seals and grommet seals to plastic insert assemblies per work order instructions.
- Assemble and bond EMI rings to connector shell per work order instructions.
- Apply identification stamping to various components and assemblies.
- Paint components, as well as apply paint stripe markings to contacts.
- Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain safe work environment. Assure proper maintenance of a safe and clean work area.
- Stage materials for shipment as required.
- Prepare single and shielded wires for termination, crimp contacts to prepared wires, terminate simple cables to connectors, and load and operate heat treat and annealing ovens.
- 1-2 years? experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations
- Ability to read, follow and understand verbal instruction, product/ process specifications, drawings, and work orders in English ? Ability to use calculators
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements; in addition to use of hand tools
- Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown
- Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts

- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of Camarillo will be considered for this position.
