Rate Range: $500-$600/Day
Job Description:
- We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Data Analyst to join our Data Governance team within a fast-paced financial services environment.
- In this role, you will be the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving requirements gathering and supporting governance initiatives across metadata management, data cataloging, lineage, and glossaries.
- You'll bring sharp analytical instincts, a proactive mindset, and technical fluency to ensure data is accurate, standardized, and accessible across the organization.
- Partner with domain pillars and business users to elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements using appropriate tools and methodologies
- Anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively propose solutions and alternatives before issues arise
- Collaborate closely with development teams through the full build-and-test lifecycle
- Serve as a central communication hub keeping all stakeholders informed on deliverables, timelines, and status
- Own the end-to-end tracking of issues and enhancement requests, from initiation through production deployment
- Prioritize and manage workloads across multiple concurrent initiatives and teams
- Perform quality control on SQL queries, Snowflake data, and data standardization efforts
- Support application stability through proactive production issue triage and resolution
- Prior experience at a Sell Side bank or comparable financial institution
- Deep knowledge of metadata management tools including Data Curation, Data Catalogs, Data Lineage platforms, Data Dictionaries, and Business Glossaries
- Strong Python and SQL proficiency, including data mining and scripting
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Agile delivery methodologies
- Background in application support and regulatory reporting
- Experience with Snowflake and/or Databricks is a plus
- Detail-oriented with the ability to deliver high-quality work quickly under pressure
- A strong analytical thinker who can translate complex business requirements into clear functional and technical design documents
- An effective multitasker who manages competing priorities without losing sight of the details
- Naturally curious you actively seek to understand the business domain, not just the task at hand
- Adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a dynamic environment.
