Salary Range: CAD $90K-$92K/Month
Job Description:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for mobile apps and web applications using modern tools and best practices.
- Develop and maintain automated tests for large-scale mobile apps, web applications, and mobile web applications, ensuring cross-device coverage.
- Create automated tests using tools such as Appium, Kotlin, XCTest, XCUITest, Swift, Selenium, Cursor, and Playwright.
- Integrate mobile and web automation with API test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and ensure high-quality releases.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and quality engineering (QE) leads to ensure testability, establish clear acceptance criteria, and achieve comprehensive quality coverage.
- Conduct root cause analysis on defects and work with engineering teams to validate fixes.
- Implement regression testing, visual validation, and accessibility testing to reduce manual testing efforts and improve test coverage.
- Promote shift-left quality engineering practices and provide technical guidance and mentoring to other QE and Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) team members.
- Enhance automation reporting, manage test data efficiently, and ensure environment readiness.
- Take ownership of automation quality for one or more major app domains or platforms.
- Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks and tools, including:
- Appium and Selenium WebDriver with Java and TestNG or JUnit
- Playwright with JavaScript or TypeScript
- BrowserStack or similar cloud-based cross-browser testing platforms
- REST API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, ReadyAPI, or equivalent
- GraphQL API testing, including queries, mutations, and schema validation
- Tools like Cursor, Co-pilot, and other AI solutions
- Strong programming skills in Java and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience in Appium, Kotlin, XCTest, and XCUITest for app automation
- Proven ability to design and execute complex testing strategies that go beyond basic functional testing.
- Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
