Job Description:
- We are seeking an Intelligent Automation Engineer to support enterprise automation initiatives with a focus on Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), and system integrations.
- This role designs, builds, and integrates automation solutions using established RPA platforms while enabling advanced capabilities through Azure AI and/or Google Vertex AI where appropriate.
- The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, automation developers, and AI platform teams to deliver scalable, secure, and well?integrated solutions.
- With guidance, the engineer recommends solution approaches and provides technical direction across the development lifecycle, including configuration, testing, and implementation, ensuring high?quality solutions delivered on time and within budget.
- The position also supports operational stability through root cause analysis and issue resolution to meet established SLAs, evaluates the feasibility of business requirements, and translates them into effective automation solutions.
- Adherence to Center of Excellence (CoE) standards, security and risk management practices, change management, and continuous improvement is a core expectation of the role.
- Develop, configure, test, and deploy automation solutions that align with business needs.
- Provide support, root cause analysis, and debugging to meet SLAs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and integrate solutions with existing systems.
- Communicate with diverse audiences and support automation portfolios.
- Ensure compliance with standards, security, and change management.
- Partner with teammates to develop, configure, test, and implement processes to meet the defined and anticipated requirements with high-quality builds on time and on budget.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to accomplish objectives or resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile teams to deliver iterative improvements and manage change effectively.
- Possess familiarity with cloud architectures and AI/ML service consumption patterns.
- Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key s clients and Key.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (required)
- Hands?on experience with Automation Anywhere (A360) RPA platform
- Experience with process simulations/automation, solution development and/or business analysis
- Familiarity with Intelligent Document Processing tools such as ABBYY or equivalent OCR/IDP technologies
- Understanding system integration concepts, including REST APIs, JSON/XML, authentication, and error handling
- Working knowledge of process engineering software systems
- Experience integrating with Azure AI services and/or Google Vertex AI (preferred)
- Experience or knowledge in a banking/financial services industry (preferred)
- Leverage platforms to rapidly develop and deploy business solutions.
- Participate in Agile teams to deliver iterative improvements and manage change effectively.
- Ensuring solutions adhere to IT policies, change management, and security standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.?Ability to successfully facilitate meetings – including information sharing and call to action outcomes.
- Troubleshoot issues by gathering, interpreting and analyzing data and recommending solutions. Analytical thinker and problem-solver.
- Ability to use tools to analyze workflows and identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Support multiple projects, tasks, and responsibilities concurrently.
- Design and implement automation solutions using platforms like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate.
- Staying current with emerging technologies and continuously improving solution design.
- Hands?On RPA & IDP Experience (Proof, Not Just Tools). Clear evidence of applied experience with Automation Anywhere (A360) and Intelligent Document Processing.
- Integration & Architecture Thinking (Beyond Bot Builder ). API integrations (REST, JSON, auth tokens, etc.), connecting RPA to enterprise systems, databases, or services, designing solutions that fit into a broader architecture.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions
