Maintenance – Temporary Outdoor Maintenance Assistant / Porter
Position Summary
The Temporary Outdoor Maintenance Assistant / Porter supports the upkeep, cleanliness, and appearance of the company's manufacturing campus and grounds. This position is primarily responsible for outdoor clean-up activities, litter removal, trash collection, and general grounds maintenance to ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment for employees, visitors, and customers.
The role may also assist the Facilities and Maintenance teams with basic maintenance tasks, painting projects, facility clean-up, and other general labor duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the exterior grounds, parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, and common outdoor areas.
Pick up litter, debris, and trash throughout the campus on a daily basis.
Empty outdoor trash receptacles and transport waste to designated collection areas.
Assist with seasonal and weather-related clean-up, including leaves, snow, storm debris, and other environmental conditions.
Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas and report safety hazards, damage, or maintenance concerns to management.
Support general grounds upkeep, including sweeping, power washing, and basic landscaping activities as assigned.
Assist with facility clean-up projects in manufacturing and office areas as needed.
Perform basic painting, touch-up work, and minor repair tasks under supervision.
Move equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies as directed.
Assist the Facilities and Maintenance teams with general labor projects and department support activities.
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Assemble devices received in kit form such as furniture and shelving units.
Provides support and back up for other members of department as needed by leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in drywall, repair & painting AND/OR minimum of one (1) year of experience in HVAC maintenance.
