Job Description:
- We re looking for an experienced Principal Business Performance Analyst with a focus on Personalization Analytics and Digital Marketing Analytics to join our Marketing Technology team.
- Analyze user-centric personalization experiences to evaluate their impact on key performance metrics.
- Extract actionable insights from content search indexes and behavioral event data layers.
- Deliver insights from affiliate partnerships that drive incremental conversion growth.
- You ll operate in a fast-paced environment spanning iOS, Android, Mobile Web, Desktop, and OTT platforms, and will have access to Claude AI as a daily productivity partner to accelerate analysis, documentation, and insight generation.
Data-Driven Strategy:
- Use advanced analytics (SQL, Python, R) to provide actionable insights.
- Support personalization, affiliate marketing strategies, and business decisions.
- Lead A/B and multivariate testing.
- Optimize affiliate offers, landing pages, and user experiences to boost engagement and conversions.
- Develop segmentation models to identify high-value customers.
- Implement digital attribution strategies to evaluate campaign effectiveness across affiliate partners.
- Build and manage dashboards and visualizations (Tableau, Google Data Studio).
- Track affiliate KPIs and highlight optimization opportunities.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, and Tech teams.
- Identify opportunities to enhance affiliate partnerships, optimize user journeys, and improve funnel performance.
- Analyze affiliate performance data.
- Identify improvement areas and recommend strategies to increase conversion rates and ROI.
- Collaborate with affiliate partners to analyze trends and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluate algorithmic content feed performance (dwell time, affinity, content freshness, user history, saturation, behavioral signals).
- Partner with Product and Engineering to assess impact of feed changes on KPIs (page sessions, video starts, retention, subscriptions).
- Lead A/B and multivariate tests to optimize feed ranking and content mix across platforms (iOS, Android, Mobile Web, Desktop, OTT).
- Move beyond lagging indicators (uniques, visits, time spent, video views, LTV).
- Develop predictive measurement frameworks, RPM models, and incremental lift methodologies.
- Surface engagement quality metrics such as dwell time, content saturation, and session depth.
- Work with content search indexes (OpenSearch/Elasticsearch-style) managing article, video, and social metadata.
- Integrate behavioral event log data with Adobe Analytics and Kochava into BigQuery.
- Define extraction patterns from APIs and collaborate with Engineering and BI on data pipeline architecture.
- Design dimensional models (Kimball methodology) optimized for performance and cost.
- Document data models, schemas, and analytical logic across Confluence, JIRA, and GitHub.
- Provide insights from affiliate data to drive incremental conversions.
- Develop segmentation models, attribution strategies, and KPI dashboards (Tableau, Google Data Studio).
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 6 years of experience in data analytics (preferably in digital media, streaming, or consumer platforms).
- Advanced SQL and hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (Google BigQuery, AWS Athena, AWS Glue).
- Expertise with analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Kochava, or similar) across app, Mobile Web, Desktop, and OTT.
- Experience with search index or document store data (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or similar APIs).
- Strong experience in data warehouse design (Kimball dimensional modeling preferred).
- Proven experience designing and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests in production environments.
- Strong data visualization skills (Tableau, Google Data Studio).
- Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical specifications and produce clear, structured outputs.
