The client is a private aerospace manufacturer and spaceflight services company, which aims to make access to space more affordable and reliable through the development of reusable rocket technology. It has several ambitious projects in progress, including its New Shepard suborbital rocket, designed for space tourism and research missions, and the New Glenn orbital launch vehicle, intended to compete with SpaceX's Falcon rockets in the commercial satellite launch market.
The client has also been involved in developing lunar landers and other technologies to support NASA's Artemis program, which aims to return humans to the Moon and eventually establish a sustainable human presence there.

Job Description:
- *** is seeking an experienced Subcontract Administrator III to join our Supply Chain Management (SCM) team in support of New Product Integration. In this contract role, you will own the full procurement lifecycle from sourcing through delivery while partnering closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure materials, components, and services are delivered on time and to specification.
- This is a hands-on purchasing role requiring strong follow-up, tracking discipline, and aerospace industry expertise.
- Manage cradle-to-grave procurement activities, including sourcing, quoting, negotiating, placing, and closing out purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Support New Product Integration (NPI) within SCM, ensuring new components and suppliers are successfully introduced into the supply base.
- Execute purchasing activities for hardware, components, materials, and services in support of program needs.
- Proactively follow up and track open orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules to mitigate risk and prevent shortages.
- Serve as an embedded member of cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), representing SCM and driving procurement strategy aligned to program objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, managing performance, escalations, and corrective actions as needed.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and delivery to achieve best value while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within the procurement process.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of progressive experience in subcontract administration, procurement, or purchasing.
- Aerospace industry experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience managing cradle-to-grave procurement.
- Proven ability to follow up, track, and drive supplier deliverables to closure.
- Experience working within cross-functional teams (IPT environment).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Kent, WA or Florida.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by applicable export control regulations.
- Experience supporting New Product Integration (NPI) or new product introduction within an SCM organization.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Costpoint).
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and aerospace supplier quality requirements.
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency with reporting/tracking tools.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-growth aerospace or manufacturing environmen
