Duration: 06-months Contract
Pay Range: $35-40/hr. on W2 (non-benefited)
Shift time: M-F 9AM - 5:30 PM Local Time Zone
Training Schedule: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST for first week

Summary:
The claims contract attorney position is not a practicing lawyer position. The role is limited to the implementation of a compensation plan. The requirement for the candidates to be members of the bar is simply to ensure the required level of experience and qualification.
We have an immediate need for attorneys who will be critical members of a project team responsible for handling product liability class action litigation and mass tort matters. These are not eDiscovery document review positions.
Job Responsibilities:
The attorneys will perform various duties including but not limited to:
Analyzing claim documents.
Preparing detailed responses to sometimes complex written inquiries of claimants and counsel.
Fielding sometimes complex telephone inquiries from claimants and counsel.
Receiving training, direction and oversight from project directors, project managers, project coordinators, and/or other project team members.

Qualifications:
JD from an accredited law school (foreign law degree may suffice)
Active license in good standing in at least one Canada jurisdiction
Litigation experience preferred
Class action and/or mass tort experience a plus
