How do the dates on ApTask articles work?

Each article shows only the dates ApTask can stand behind, so a reader can tell how current it is.

  1. First published. A blog post shows its publish date when the original date is known.
  2. Updated. A post whose text was revised also shows the date of that revision.
  3. Historical post. Company news whose exact date was lost shows the year it was originally published instead.
  4. Last updated. Guides, the glossary and these profile pages carry a Last updated line at the top.

Frequently asked questions

Who writes the ApTask blog?

Articles on ApTask Insights are published by the ApTask Editorial Team, the editorial desk at ApTask. An article that names a writer links to that person’s profile; every other article is credited to the team.

Why do older ApTask posts not name a writer?

The posts carried over from the previous aptask.com were all published under a single house byline, and no record names the individual writers. They are credited to the ApTask Editorial Team rather than to a person ApTask cannot confirm wrote them.

How do I report an error in an ApTask article?

Email info@aptask.com or use the contact page, and include the article link and the passage you believe is wrong.

Can I cite ApTask guides and reports?

Yes. ApTask publishes its reports for open citation; cite the page URL and the date shown on it. Guides and the glossary show a Last updated date for the same reason.
