Job Description:
- As a Mechanical Engineer II, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components. Leveraging your experience and expertise, you will contribute to the innovation, improvement, and optimization of products and processes.
- Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and assemblies using CAD software and engineering principles.
- Conduct engineering analyses, simulations, and tests to validate designs, ensure performance, and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure designs meet requirements and specifications. Evaluate and select materials, components, and suppliers based on performance, cost, and reliability considerations.
- Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and problem-solving activities to identify and resolve design challenges and optimization opportunities.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities, including the design and fabrication of test fixtures and prototypes. Document design specifications, engineering drawings, test plans, and reports in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. min 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or product design, with a focus on mechanical systems and components.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and engineering analysis tools (e.g., Finite Element Analysis).
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
- Experience with product development processes, including design, prototyping, testing, and validation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely. Preferred Skills: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software and tools.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and requirements applicable to mechanical engineering (e.g., ASME, ISO). Experience with mechatronics, robotics, or electromechanical systems. Previous experience in a manufacturing or product development environment is a plus.
